Generally, your first appointment will last for one hour. The doctor will meet you and bring you into a treatment room where she’ll spend some time listening to you talk about how your body is feeling and about your health in general. This will give your doctor a sense of your body and condition you are experiencing. She’ll then do a physical exam tailored specifically to your areas of complaint. Your doctor will explain each step of the exam and try to make you as comfortable as possible throughout. She will then discuss the exam findings and what may be causing your complaints. She will present various treatment options and explain what our team can do to make you feel better. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and discuss any concerns you may have.

Then we get to the fun part: treatment! Our practice uses a variety of techniques. You can read about them in the “Services” page. We will choose treatments that are specifically designed for you, taking into account the nature of your complaint, your body and your comfort level.

Following treatment, we will talk about how you are feeling, and make suggestions about any activity modifications or exercises you need to feel even better. We will suggest when your next visit should be. Different injuries require different levels of care. Some work well with several treatments close together, others do better with more periodic treatment.

After your first visit, we will call to see if your health insurance has chiropractic benefits. Our billing specialist can explain what coverage you have. We know how confusing insurance can be, so feel free to ask her questions as she explains your specific chiropractic benefits to you.
